Team Trevigiani Phonix Hemus 1896 at the end of the 36th Vuelta a San Juanreturns home with a nice shirt and a heavy baggage of experience.
The 22-year-old from Pocito (San Juan) Nicolas Tivani, Under 23 Argentinian road and time trial champion, has won the classification reserved to local riders, graduating best sanjuanino in the general classification won by the compatriotGonzalo Najar of Team SEP.
Mirko Rossato, who directed the team during this week, at the end of the first race of the year comments: «Three of the six guys we fielded had never raced in the top category. For them it was an important baptism, for everyone a useful experience in view of the continuation of the season. Beyond the results achieved in the sprint withManuel Peñalver, 10th in the first stage and 6th today in front of an audience of 150.000 people, I am happy because we have put together a close-knit group and the guys have shown that they have the necessary determination to aspire to become professionals. In the enelopes, between punctures and falls, they were protagonists. In the queen stage we ended as the fourth team, we put ourselves in front of some World Tour teams, which means that for the climbs we have undisputed qualities to work on. Today, in a flat fraction, we have closed second so even with fast riders we are well placed. Good work guys!».
The calendar of the team based in Treviso continues in South America from 6th to 11th February with the first edition of Colombia Oro y Paz, which will be attended by the same athletes who competed in Argentina, namely Spanish Manuel Peñalver, French Floryan Arnoult, Panamanian Cristoff Jurado, Colombian Nacho Montoya and Argentinian Nicolas Tivani, outside of Moroccan Abderrahim Zahiri, who’s place will be place by Italian Alessandro Fedeli.
